Short Description: Flaps
|
- Pre assembled the Flap ribs, found the kit was missing 8 left flap ribs (it came with 16 right ones instead)
- ordered the 8 left flap ribs from Van's
- Assembled, final drilled and deburred the flap skelleton
- deburred every part, including the skins and holes
- dimpled the flap skelleton and flap skins
- primed the parts
- riveted the flap nose pieces together, then riveted them alongside the ribs to the spar
- riveted the upper wing skins to the flap
- pop riveted the nose skin to the flap
- installed and double flush riveted the trailing edge
- pop riveted the lower wing skins
- installed the bushing on the wings and then installed the flap on the wings preliminarily.
- also, in the time I waited for the missing parts to arrive, I started deburring and preparing the aileron ribs and skins. The skin stiffeners were also already primed.
